About Us

Cancer Research UK publishes its Roadmap for the early detection and diagnosis of cancer.  This landmark report sets a shared cross-sectoral vision for a future where no cancer will be detected too late to treat, and outlines a series of tangible recommendations (for research, commercialisation and government policy) to overcome challenges and deliver that future.

The Roadmap is derived from a broad and deep consultation of over a hundred experts covering academia, industry, investors, regulators, the NHS, patients, the public and more.  It was led by a senior, visionary steering committee chaired by Chris Whitty and outlines a plan for collaborative, ecosystem-wide action to move us torwards a future model of proactive health maintenance, delivering significant population health benefit and also creating a major economic growth opportunity for the UK.
